The Vanishing Act
A long-overdue update
Life can be a funny thing, a twisty-turny road,
and lightning bolts can strike one down without a moment’s warning.
The unexpected ups and downs impede the river’s flow
and soon we find ourselves immersed, and prey to violent storming.
Thus it has been for me of late, and even now continues,
as unexpected shock waves hit, bombarding ‘til they drown me.
And there are not yet signs of hope, nor glimpse of coming rescue,
but I keep swimming- (‘cause I must!) in this roiling, angry sea.
Hello, my friends, and greetings from the vanishing act that is Jupiter Grant. I have missed writing here, and I have missed interacting with you all. Unfortunately, as some of you may be aware (or have suspected), I have experienced a rather major decline in my health recently. Among other things, it has left me with severe fatigue, a lot of brain fog, and difficulty concentrating; all things that are not very conducive to writing (as I am sure all the writers among you can attest!)
